  • Skinless boneless chicken thighs

  • Cooking sake
  • Mirin
  • Sesame oil
  • Minced garlic
  • Shallot or green onion for garnish
  • Steamed broccoli

Instructions
 

  • To make teriyaki chicken, start by searing the chicken thighs in hot oil until they are lightly browned and crispy.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sugar, sake (or rice wine vinegar), mirin, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki sauce.

  • Add the sauce to the pan with the chicken and simmer until it thickens into a glossy glaze.
  • Finally, add in the steamed broccoli and garnish with shallots or green onions. Serve the teriyaki chicken over steamed rice for a complete meal.
